Intensives are offered usually in the summer season and tend to be in-person because they are hands-on. We want you to walk away confident and excited. Guiding students through the complete spagyric process—from maceration, distillation and calcination to recombination and final formulation. Each session blends the history of science, animism, phytochemistry, astronomy, and herbalism into an earth-centered approach to alchemical practice. Students learn by doing, working directly with plants, fire, salts, and glassware as the process unfolds in real time. The teaching style emphasizes relationship, ecological awareness, and the understanding that alchemy arises from a living Earth. These are intimate, experiential classes designed to root knowledge in both body and mind. Its also a wonderful opportunity to foster friendships. Ecological Alchemy of Living Medicine will be offered virtually with at least one long weekend taking place in Flagstaff, Arizona in the late summer/autumn of 2026, meeting around once a week for 3-5 hours at a time. This is a comprehensive, hands-on immersion designed to ground students in herbal medicine while opening a much wider lens. Students of a wide-range are welcome, from complete beginners, to advanced. Together we’ll move through Herbalism 101, phytochemistry, spagyrics, astrology, ecological science, and the history of science. Understanding plants not just as remedies, but as participants in a living system that humans are a part of. This course is both engaging and demanding. It invites curiosity, creativity, and deep thinking, but it also requires commitment. Weekly exams will help integrate the material and ensure concepts are truly landing, supporting students in building confidence, skill, and depth along the way.
